How do I import a DV tape into FCP without it chopping up clips?

Hi there,

When I Log and Capture footage into FCP from a DV tape the footage is always cut up into smaller clips, so instead I have to click onto the next clip to listen to the rest of an interview instead of watching it all in one go, which is how I filmed it.

If anyone can help that would be great, thanks!
